Partner Agency Quote: We had a mom come into the center with her 8 month old baby to look for clothing, we were also able to connect her with monthly diapers and wipes while she was there. Come to find out through questions about delivery that the young woman was living in her car. We referred her to a local emergency housing resource and she was off the street that night. We probably would not have known about her living situation without the diaper delivery program. We still deliver diapers to her monthly and get to check in and see how she is doing at the same time.
Partner Agency Quote: A single mother in rural lane county who is working was at risk of losing her daycare position for her child because she is required to provide adequate diapers for the child. At home she uses cloth diapers so she can wash and re-use them. Her paycheck is not enough to cover rent, utilities, food, and disposable diapers for daycare. “The diaper bank diapers have made it so I can keep my daughter in daycare, so I can keep my job and continue working,” the mother explained.
